August Leinbach

August Leinbach is a staff attorney at Legal Services NYC, currently serving in the Manhattan Housing Unit since August 2022, following a position as a law graduate in the same unit. Prior experience includes a pro bono scholarship at Mobilization for Justice, Inc. focused on housing from March to May 2022 and various roles during legal education at Columbia Law School, including participation in the Community Advocacy Lab Clinic and research assistant positions. Additionally, August Leinbach has interned with several organizations, gaining experience in tenants' rights, housing, and worker justice. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor's Degree in Religion from Carleton College, complemented by language study in Mandarin Chinese.
