Nicola Shaver has extensive experience in the legal technology and innovation field. Nicola is currently the CEO and Co-Founder of LegalTechnology Hub, a platform that provides comprehensive resources and tools for the legal industry. Nicola is also an Adjunct Professor at Cardozo School of Law, where they teach courses in their field of expertise.
Prior to these roles, Nicola founded LID - Legal Innovation and Design, a global group that promotes innovation initiatives in the commercial legal space. Nicola also served as a Strategic Business Partner Liaison and held various volunteer positions at the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), where they contributed to the organization's content coordination and program planning efforts.
Notably, Nicola held leadership positions at Paul Hastings and Stikeman Elliott LLP, where they drove innovation, knowledge management, and research services initiatives. At Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, they served as Assistant Director of Innovation and Practice Support, leading knowledge management and innovation initiatives.
Before transitioning into legal technology and innovation, Nicola gained valuable experience as a Senior Network Legal Counsel at Network 10 and as an Editorial Legal Counsel at News Corp. Nicola also worked as an Associate at Johnson Winter & Slattery, specializing in media and commercial litigation.
Throughout their career, Nicola has consistently demonstrated a passion for driving innovation and implementing efficient processes in the legal industry.
