Jakov Piskac has extensive work experience in the finance and accounting field. Jakov started their career in 2006 as an accountant at AS-AP J. Dobranic, where they drove performance and financial planning, established strong relationships with various entities, and completed full-cycle processing of billing and payments. From 2007 to 2012, Jakov worked as a Financial Manager at GEO-JET Group, overseeing financial plans, payment processing, treasury works, and contract implementation. In 2012, they joined Leggett & Platt Tecnologies Croatia as an Assistant Financial Controller, where they supported the financial controller, streamlined processes, and collaborated with cross-functional teams. Jakov then moved up to the role of Financial Controller at Leggett & Platt in 2014, where they executed financial management, accounting, and shared services, controlled costs, and prepared financial statements. Jakov briefly worked as the Country Finance Controller Croatia at Vertiv in 2022 before joining Leggett & Platt again as the Financial Director. In this role, they support the International Bedding Business Unit, oversees financial activities in Croatia, and ensures compliance with Sox regulations. Jakov is also the key point of contact for external and internal auditors.
Jakov Piskac has a diverse education history. Jakov obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the Zagreb School of Economics and Management from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's in Economics with a focus on Business/Managerial Economics from 2018 to 2020 at Sveučilište Sjever / University North. Jakov holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics, specializing in Finance and Accounting, from RRiF High School for financial management, completed between 2007 and 2010. In addition, they are a Certified Internal Auditor, having obtained this certification from HZRIF in 2011. Furthermore, they also possess a background in IT engineering, having completed a degree in Informatic Science from the Faculty of Organisation and Informatics between 2005 and 2007.
