Leigh Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years in the education and childcare sector. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Senior Counselor at the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, where they assisted children with homework and organized activities. In 2004, they became a Lead Teacher at Bright Horizons, a role they held until 2007. From 2007 to 2010, Leigh worked as an Instructional Aid at the Bernards Township Board of Education. They then transitioned to The Learning Experience, where they served as Assistant Director, Business Manager, Lead Teacher (Preschool), and Substitute Teacher from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, Leigh joined Lehigh Valley Children's Centers as a Center Director before moving on to Greater Valley YMCA as the Pre-K Counts Director from 2015 to 2020. Following this, they took on the role of Education Director at Greater Scranton YMCA for a year. Currently, Leigh is the Director of Educational Supports at Lehigh Valley Children's Centers, starting in September 2021.
Leigh Miller's education history begins in 1998 when they attended County College of Morris and obtained an Associate degree in Arts and Sciences - Graphic Design. They then pursued their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and sculpture at William Paterson University of New Jersey from 2002 to 2006. After that, Leigh attended the University of Phoenix from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Master of Arts in Education (MaEd) with a specialization in Special Education.
