Sucharit Neogi

Sucharit Neogi is an experienced researcher and coordinator with a diverse background in marine ecology and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Coordinator and Member of the Executive Committee for the Bangladesh Chapter of Religions for Peace Asia and the Pacific Interfaith Youth Network since May 2022, Sucharit has also been an Executive Committee member and Chief Research Investigator for Coastal Development Partnership since December 2015. Additional roles include Local Administrator at movimentar GmbH and Ambassador at the Leibniz Center for Tropical Marine Ecology (ZMT) GmbH. Sucharit has a notable history at icddr,b, holding positions from Senior Research Assistant to Senior Research Investigator between 1999 and 2015. Academically, Sucharit holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Microbial Ecology from Osaka Prefecture University, a Master’s Degree in International Studies in Aquatic Tropical Ecology from the University of Bremen, and two Master’s Degrees in Genetics & Molecular Biology and Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Dhaka.
