Yim Ming Connie Kwong is a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) GmbH since January 2020, focusing on sustainable tourism through the TransTourism project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Science (BMBF). Previously, Kwong served as an intern at the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience at Durham University and completed a PhD in Geography at Durham University, researching volunteer tourism among East Asian tourists in Cambodia. Additional experiences include involvement in youth engagement initiatives, leadership roles in the Ustinov Global Citizenship Programme, and research assistant positions at The University of Hong Kong, where Kwong contributed to studies on tourism's social impacts and walkability. Kwong holds an MPhil and a Bachelor's degree in Geography/Sociology from The University of Hong Kong.
