Bruce Witherspoon

Bruce Witherspoon is a Principal Security Engineer with extensive experience in cyber security operations, currently serving as the Lead Cyber Security Watch Officer at Leidos since October 2017. In this role, Bruce supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) by maintaining 24x7 situational awareness of intelligence information related to global cyber threats and provides crucial incident handling, analysis, and vulnerability assessments. Prior to Leidos, Bruce held a similar position at NES Associates, LLC from November 2012 to October 2017, where responsibilities included briefing the Principal Director of the Defense Command Center and participating in collaborative forums to support the mission of defending the DoDIN.
