Chidinma Obi Sedenu

Chidinma Obi Sedenu has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Chidinma Obi started their career in 2005 as an MWD/LWD Field Engineer at Schlumberger, where they excelled in training and quickly learned Spanish to effectively communicate with rig crew and clients. Chidinma Obi then joined Shell RTOC as a Drilling Optimization Engineer, delivering significant cost savings and making international presentations to client executives. Next, they worked at Halliburton as an ADT Optimization Engineer, optimizing drilling processes and establishing benchmarks for KPIs. Chidinma Obi further expanded their expertise at Transocean, where they served as a Drilling Engineer and Business Development professional, planning and executing wells in multiple countries and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts. Chidinma Obi also worked as a Country Marketing Manager, managing teams and completing technical and commercial tenders. Chidinma then became the Managing Director at GTP Oil Field Solutions Limited, offering technical expertise and project management services to oil and gas customers. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Strategy at LEKOIL Nigeria Limited, overseeing strategy development and alignment within the organization and leading the strategic management team in the development of long-range strategic plans and objectives. Overall, Chidinma's work experience spans technical planning, business development, project management, and strategic leadership in the oil and gas sector.

Chidinma Obi Sedenu obtained a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 2005. Additionally, Chidinma has additional certifications in Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), Helicopter Underwater Egress Training (HUET), and IWCF/IADC Well Control (Supervisor level) – Drilling, Completions, Workover, Subsea.
