Erika Mahterian has worked at a variety of companies and organizations since 2016. In that year, they co-founded and co-presided over Aspiring Leaders Pursuing Higher Achievement (ALPHA), a Utah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Erika also served as the Student Advisor/Founding Member of the BYU Tech Club and the Women in Finance President at Brigham Young University. In 2017, they were a Strategy Intern at Tiled, a People Advisory Services Intern at EY, and a Community Leaders Program Intern at Google. Erika then worked at EY from 2018 to 2020, first as a Staff Consultant and then as a Senior Consultant. In 2020, they became the Owner and Founder of MCPMU, an ecommerce retail business. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Co-Founder + Head of Experience at Leland, a marketplace for ambitious people to access the coaching, classes, and community they need to reach career and educational goals.
Erika Mahterian earned their Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business in 2017. In addition, they attended a summer program on Social Entrepreneurship at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
