Javier Ayala

Javier Ayala, PhD, serves as the College Dean at Grossmont College since July 2015, leading various career technical and academic programs focused on workforce development and student support services. Additionally, Javier is the President of the Lemon Grove District Governing Board, advocating for educational excellence and equity. Javier's extensive experience in higher education includes roles as Campus Dean at The State University of New York, Vice President of Instruction at Umpqua Community College, and Director of Institutional Research and Grants at Clatsop Community College. With a strong educational background, including a PhD in Education from Oregon State University and various leadership certificates, Javier is committed to enhancing educational opportunities and outcomes for students.
