Jake Estes has a diverse range of work experience in the field of video production. Jake began their career as an intern at BSkyB Movies Department, where they had the opportunity to co-write scripts, organize shooting takes, and provide on-location assistance. Jake then worked as a Vice President of Creative Development for the UVMtv Club at the University of Vermont.
Jake gained further experience as a video producer and camera operator at RETN, where they trained with a professional crew and worked on live event shoots. Jake also produced and directed a promotional video for Volunteers for Peace.
At PEG-TV, Jake served as a video producer, writing scripts, shooting footage, conducting interviews, and editing the content for delivery on public access. Jake later worked at the United Nations as an assistant video editor.
Jake's work at The New School included roles as a resident advisor and teacher's assistant. As a resident advisor, they built strong relationships with residents, managed day-to-day operations of the building, and provided customer service to students. As a teacher's assistant, Jake prepared power points, adjusted projector and sound settings, and facilitated smooth lecture experiences.
Jake then joined Cisco as a videographer, where they captured professional video content and managed assets for multimedia production.
Their most recent role is at B&H Photo Video, where they worked as a professional video sales associate and consultant, advising and supporting customers with their video production needs. Jake also served as a senior video producer, producing and editing branded videos for various companies and products.
Currently, Jake is employed as a video producer at Lemonlight, overseeing the entire video production process, collaborating with clients, developing creative concepts, managing budgets and timelines, and ensuring high-quality final products.
Jake Estes earned a Masters in Media Studies with a specialization in Video Production from The New School between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television Studies. In 2009, Jake participated in the London Internship Program at Boston University. In addition to their formal education, they also acquired the certification "After Effects 2021 Essential Training: The Basics" from LinkedIn in January 2022.
