Miguel Garcia-Toscano

Miguel Garcia-Toscano serves as the Head of Preclinical Research and Head of R&D at Amarna Therapeutics B.V. since May 2013, focusing on gene therapy and the application of viral vectors to treat various incurable diseases. Concurrently, Miguel contributes as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at LentiStem Biotech S.L. and lectures in the Genetics and Evolution Master Program at the University of Granada. Previous experience includes senior postdoctoral research at Centro Pfizer - Universidad de Granada - Junta de Andalucía, specializing in genetic modification of human embryonic stem cells, and positions at Andalusian Stem Cell Bank, Temple University, and Instituto de Parasitología y Biomedicina López-Neyra, with a focus on lentiviral vectors and genetic editing. Educational qualifications include an Executive MBA from ESIC Business & Marketing School and a PhD in Gene Therapy and Immunology from Universidad de Granada.
