Catherine Navarro-Harkin has a diverse work experience in the advertising and strategic planning field. Catherine started their career as an intern at Fallon in 1999. Catherine then worked as a Creative Planner at Upshot from 2000 to 2003, where they applied research-based consumer insights to inspire creative marketing strategies for various clients. From 2003 to 2005, Catherine worked at Ogilvy & Mather as a Planner, playing a key role in planning brand and innovation projects for prestigious clients such as Dove and Suave. Catherine then joined Energy BBDO as a Senior Brand Planner in 2005, followed by Cramer Krasselt as a Senior Brand Planner from 2006 to 2009, where they contributed to new business efforts and thought leadership projects. Catherine's next role was at Abelson-Taylor, where they worked as an Account Planner from 2009 to 2011, focusing on consumer health and wellness strategies for Abbott Nutrition brands. Catherine then joined Leo Burnett, first as a VP, Strategy Director from 2011 to 2016, where they put human insight and cultural context at the center of the strategic conversation. Catherine was then promoted to the role of VP, Global Strategy Director from 2016 to 2021, where they led strategy on multinational accounts such as Kellogg's Europe and Procter & Gamble. Currently, they work at Leo Burnett as a SVP, Strategy Director.
Catherine Navarro-Harkin holds a BA in Music & Writing from Saint Mary's College and an MA in Popular Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University.
