Mittu Torka has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the advertising and strategy field. In 2008, Mittu worked as an Assistant Producer at Genesis Production House. From 2009 to 2010, Mittu held the role of Content Executive at Out Of Home Media Pvt Ltd., before moving on to work as an Account Planner at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising from 2010 to 2012. Mittu's next role was as a Planning Director at BatesCHI & Partners, where they led the strategy on Tang (Mondelēz) and won a Silver APAC Effie Award. From 2015 to 2017, Mittu worked as a Planning Director at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, where they played a crucial role in the successful launch of the P9 smartphone. Mittu then joined VMLY&R in 2017 as the Head of Strategy, where they collaborated with National Geographic and Guinness Book of World Records for an integrated marketing campaign. Mittu's work experience continued at Iris in 2019 as a Strategy Director for Samsung, and then as a Strategy Partner at The Womb Communications from 2019 to 2021. Mittu's most recent role is as the Executive Vice President - Strategy at Leo Burnett, starting in 2021. Alongside their professional roles, Mittu co-founded MannMitra in 2020, an online mental health portal providing information and workshops across various Indian languages.
Mittu Torka obtained a Bachelor of Mass Media degree in Advertising from Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management from 2007 to 2010. Prior to this, Mittu completed their HSC in Arts at St. Xavier's College from 2006 to 2007. Mittu also received additional certifications in online marketing, email and newsletter marketing foundations, and social media marketing from Lynda.com in 2018.
