Cais Thomas

Cais Thomas is a dedicated hydrogeologist currently serving as a Staff Hydrogeologist II at LRE Water since July 2022, after advancing from the Staff Hydrogeologist I position. Prior experience includes a role as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Southern California from September 2019 to May 2022, where Cais researched novel sulfur disproportionating microbes. Additionally, Cais conducted research as an REU Student at the Center for Bio-mediated and Bio-inspired Geotechnics in June 2021, focusing on scour mitigation methods inspired by mangrove roots. Cais started a career in customer service as a Crew Member at McDonald's in the summer of 2019. Cais holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Southern California, earned in May 2022.
