Towfik Teherani

Towfik Teherani is a highly experienced professional in the field of infrared technology and materials, currently serving as a Senior Technical Consultant in Detectors, Processing, and IR Materials at DRS Technologies since January 2015. In addition, Towfik holds the position of Vice President of Detector Technology & Engineering at DRS Technologies, overseeing the growth of IR materials, ROIC design, and the development of next-generation focal plane array (FPA) fabrication processes. Towfik also serves as Vice President of Technical Operations at the DRS Technologies - RSTA Texas Site. Prior experience includes a managerial role in FPA Development and Production at Texas Instruments, where Towfik contributed to the TISES Program and later focused on IR FPA Detector Development. Towfik earned a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin between 1973 and 1978.
