Fabio Antonio Bovino

Chief Scientist - Quantum Technologies Lab at Leonardo

Fabio Antonio Bovino is a highly experienced academic and scientist with a focus on optics and quantum technologies. Since July 2014, Fabio has been a Professor at the University of Rome "La Sapienza," contributing to the Master Internazionale di II Livello Interfacolta'​ in "Optics and Quantum Information." Fabio has also held multiple positions as Chief Scientist in the Quantum Technologies and Quantum Optics Labs at Leonardo since September 2001. In addition to these roles, Fabio has lectured at various prestigious institutions, including the European Society for Applied Superconductivity and the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture, focusing on topics such as plasmonics, nano-optics, and superconducting quantum detectors. Fabio's expertise has been recognized in international settings, contributing to advanced studies in nano-photonics and singular optics from 2007 to 2016. Earlier experience includes military service from June 1993 to June 1994.
