Michael Lea

Michael Lea currently serves as the Vice President of Sales - EW at Leonardo, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Michael was the Defence and CBRN Director at Smiths Detection, overseeing all aspects of the Defence business from February 2019 to September 2023. Michael's career includes significant positions in various organizations, such as Interim Head of Transformation at TUI Aviation, Project Manager at Monarch Airlines, and Interim Managing Director at Powertraveller, where crucial business transformations were implemented. Michael also contributed to Tesco PLC on transformation and strategy initiatives, and held multiple leadership roles in the Royal Air Force, including Global Operations Manager and Fighter Pilot. Michael holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Cambridge and an AMAC degree obtained in 2012.
