Sonja Pappert

Sonja Pappert has extensive work experience in the field of taxation. Sonja is currently the Head of Tax, Customs & Export Control / Director at LEONI since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a self-employed tax consultant at their own firm from May 2018 to April 2022. From January 2018 to April 2018, they served as the Head of Tax at PATRIZIA Deutschland. Before that, Sonja worked as a tax advisor at Noerr from July 2015 to December 2017, providing comprehensive national and international tax advice to an Indian automotive supplier. Sonja also served as a tax advisor and authorized representative at Baker Tilly from September 2012 to the present. Before joining Baker Tilly, Sonja worked as a tax advisor at Rödl & Partner from April 2012 to August 2012 and at KPMG from October 2003 to March 2012. Overall, they have a strong background in tax consultancy, specializing in domestic and international taxation.

Sonja Pappert obtained their Steuerberaterexamen degree from Steuerberaterkammer Hessen in 2009. From 2000 to 2003, they studied Betriebswirtschaftslehre and earned a Diplom from DHBW Mannheim. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in Rechnungswesen und Business/Management from The Open University in London. In 2022, Sonja completed regular further training in Außenwirtschaftsbeauftragte in Unternehmen at Außenwirtschaftsakademie (AWA). Sonja has also received individual coaching in self-management, motivation, employee leadership, and strategy from Metrion Consulting. Additionally, they have certified qualifications in resilience training, business mediation, and mindfulness training. Sonja holds the AWA Außenwirtschaftsbeauftragter im Unternehmen certification and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - C1 certification from GlobalExam.
