Andy Cummings has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the publishing industry. Andy currently serves as the Executive Vice President, Content, and Editor-in-Chief at Lerner Publishing Group, where they lead content development, design, and digital teams. Prior to this, they founded Content, Strategy & Services, LLC, focusing on product management, publishing, online learning, and content services. Before that, Andy held various positions at John Wiley & Sons, including Vice President & Publisher and Acquisitions Manager, where they played a key role in growing revenue and market share. Andy also has experience in business development and management, having worked at Thomson International. Andy's earlier career included roles at Northwestern University and Richard Day Research, Inc. Overall, Andy Cummings has a wide range of expertise in content development, publishing strategy, business development, and talent acquisition.
Andy Cummings has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with minors in Political Science and Spanish from Northwestern University. Andy also holds a Master of Arts degree in Media Management and Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which was obtained through a joint program between the Business and Journalism Schools. In addition to their formal education, Andy has obtained certifications in Unconscious Bias and Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn, in August 2020 and July 2020, respectively.
