Karlyn Coleman

Karlyn Coleman serves as the Classroom Marketing Manager at Lerner Publishing Group since August 2021, where a strong commitment to supporting teachers and families in developing inclusive and diverse libraries is evident. With a freelance writing career that began in January 2010, Karlyn has authored nine young adult novels for the Darby Creek series, coordinated with editors to ensure timely publication, and received a Kirkus Review. As a Teaching Artist at The Loft Literary Center, Karlyn has designed lesson plans and conducted workshops for a diverse range of age groups, promoting empathy and writing skills. Previous experience includes a role as a Book Seller at Wild Rumpus Books, where Karlyn engaged the community through social media and virtual events. Karlyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
