Alyssa Nitchun is an experienced arts and culture leader currently serving as the Executive Director of the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art since February 2020. Prior to this role, Nitchun worked as a consultant, providing expertise in arts and culture, fundraising, and partnerships, including directing a public art project on the Texas/Mexico border and advising the artist-founded real estate start-up New Eelam. Nitchun's previous positions include acting as Executive Director and Deputy Director at Creative Time, where responsibilities encompassed external affairs and development, and serving as Senior Development Associate for StoryCorps. Additional experience includes leadership roles at CLAGS: Center for LGBTQ Studies, managing at Agent Provocateur, and working as a DJ in New York City nightclubs. Nitchun holds a Master of Arts in Gender Politics from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and English Literature from Westmont College.
