Jim Saladin has a diverse range of work experience in marketing and communications roles. Jim started their career as a Senior Associate Editor at Primedia, where they oversaw production and editorial for the company's largest magazine. Jim then worked as a Writer/Editor on a freelance basis before joining The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City as a Managing Editor. In this role, they were responsible for editorial design and management of TEN Magazine and led a team in a multi-department intranet redesign project.
After their time at the Federal Reserve, Saladin joined Ferrellgas as the Director of Corporate Communications. Jim was in charge of internal and external communications efforts, including website management, social media, and media relations. Jim then became the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Ferrellgas, where they led the marketing, communications, and customer experience disciplines. Their accomplishments included reversing a trend of customer count erosion and serving as project owner for an enterprise CRM replacement project.
Saladin later created the Marketing Department for DEG and helped rebrand the company. Jim also held the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at DEG, receiving recognition on Inc. Magazine's "25 Companies Changing The World" list. Before their current role, Saladin worked as a Fractional CMO for various acquisitive companies, growing organizations, and private equity firms, preparing brands for scalability and identifying their unique voice and growth strategies.
Currently, Saladin is the Chief Marketing Officer at Lettermen's Energy.
Jim Saladin attended The University of Kansas from 1988 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature/Letters.
