Russ Matoy

Russ Matoy is an experienced R&D professional with a strong background in textile technology and engineering. Currently serving as R&D Manager at Hunter Douglas, Inc. since September 2022, Russ has also held the position of Manager of R&D at LEVOLOR from July 2016 to present, leading textile developments. Prior experience includes roles at Newell Rubbermaid from April 2010 to July 2016, where Russ progressed through managerial and engineering titles. At Nano-Tex, from 2005 to 2009, Russ focused on competitive product testing and new product commercialization. Earlier experience includes a role as Textile Engineer for Advanced Innovation at Levi Strauss & Co. (2002-2005), and Manufacturing Engineer at Nextec Applications Inc. (2000-2002), where significant process improvements were achieved. Russ holds a Master of Science in Textile Technology from the Institute of Textile Technology (1997-1999) and a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering from Auburn University (1994-1997).
