Indranil Choudhury has a diverse work experience in various industries. Indranil started their career as a Staff Reporter at Statesman in 1994 and then worked as a Senior Reporter at Telegraph from 1995 to 1996. Indranil further pursued a career in journalism and joined NDTV as a Correspondent until 2000.
In 2002, Indranil joined Genpact as the Vice President & Senior Legal Counsel. Indranil later became the Vice President & Site Leader, Kolkata, overseeing the legal function for Genpact’s India operations. Indranil worked at Genpact until 2007.
After leaving Genpact, Indranil joined Lexplosion Solutions Private Limited as the Chief Executive Officer. Indranil'srole involved simplifying complex legal issues and making them accessible to businesses. Indranil aimed to assist companies in becoming more compliant by making the law more understandable and affordable.
In 2016, Indranil joined the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as a member of the National SME Council and Co Chair of the Ease of Doing Business for MSME Sector Sub Group. Indranil focused on building processes to help Indian MSMEs achieve global competitiveness and interacted with entrepreneurs and decision-makers to understand their challenges better. Indranil'stenure at CII ended in 2018.
Indranil Choudhury has a diverse education background. Indranil obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Law with Honors from the National Law School of India University, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. In 2000, they furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Studies degree in Law at the University of Oxford. In 2006, they attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, completing the Senior Management Program in 2007, focusing on Management. Prior to this, they attended Calcutta Boys' School from 1976 to 1989, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
