Karen Geddeis Apr, Csbo

Karen Geddeis, APR, CSBO has over 20 years of experience in communications, public relations, and marketing. Karen currently works as the Director of Communications at Leyden High School District 212 since January 2021. Prior to that, Karen served as the Director of Public Relations and Communications at Glenbrook High School District 225 from July 2010 to January 2021. Karen also worked as the Director of Communications at Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 from December 2007 to July 2010. Before that, Karen held the position of Communications Manager at School District U-46 from April 2006 to December 2007 and Director of Community Relations at Niles TWP High School District 219 from August 2003 to April 2006. Karen also gained experience as the Director of Marketing and PR at Eugene Opera from September 2001 to February 2003 and as Assistant Public Relations at DuPage Senior Citizens Council from September 2000 to June 2001.

Karen Geddeis, APR, CSBO has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Public Relations from Illinois State University. Karen also holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree in School Business Management, specializing in CSBO, from Northern Illinois University. Additionally, Karen has obtained the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) certification from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
