Fergus Manford

Fergus Manford serves as the Director of IP at Leyden Labs since March 2022, overseeing the corporate IP strategy for the PanCov, PanFlu, and PanX products, as well as managing the patent portfolio for therapeutic candidates. Previously, Fergus worked at Vectura Group plc. for nearly 16 years, initially as a Formulation Scientist and later as a Patent Attorney, where responsibilities included strategic management of the patent portfolio and collaboration with engineers and scientists on invention harvesting and patent prosecution. Prior experience includes a role as Intellectual Property Manager at MedPharm Ltd and a Quality Assurance Officer at Vectura Group plc. Fergus holds a PhD in Inhaled Biopharmaceutics from King's College London, a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Brunel University London, and a BSc(Hons) in Biotechnology along with a BSc in Biochemistry and Microbiology from Rhodes University.
