Peter Gibson has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a focus on sales and marketing roles. Peter is currently serving as the VP Sales & Marketing at LG Energy Solution Vertech, Inc. Prior to this, they held the position of VP Energy Storage at LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc., where they were responsible for LG Chem's NA stationary storage business. Peter has also worked at LG Chem Power, Inc. as a Sales Director, where they played a key role in establishing and growing the company's position in the energy storage systems market.
Before joining LG Chem, Peter Gibson worked at Danotek Motion Technologies as the VP Sales & Marketing, where they were responsible for global sales and marketing of generators and power converters to wind turbine OEMs. Peter successfully secured orders and negotiated a significant supply contract with a major European OEM. Peter also contributed to the growth of Second Wind Inc. as the VP Sales, increasing revenue by 68% in the first full year.
In addition, Peter Gibson has experience in the sales of large-scale energy storage systems at Premium Power Corporation and served as the Business Development Director at Energy Conversion Devices. Peter started their career at DTE Energy, where they held the position of Chief Sales Officer and managed the sales of on-site distributed generation systems.
Prior to that, they worked at Rolls-Royce in various sales and marketing roles, including VP Sales & Marketing at RR Energy Systems Inc. and VP Industrial Power Marketing at Rolls-Royce Inc.
Peter Gibson attended Newcastle University from 1977 to 1980, where they obtained a BSc degree with first-class honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
