Jean-Sébastien Martel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jean-Sébastien is currently working at LG2 as a Principal Director - Strategy, a role they started in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Strategy Director at LG2 from December 2019 to December 2022. Before joining LG2, Jean-Sébastien held the position of Head of content / Content strategist at CARTIER from July 2017 to December 2019. Additionally, Jean-Sébastien has worked in the media industry as a Radio Host at Kyk 95.7 from August 2006 to June 2007 and at Radio Énergie 99.1 et 102.7 from April 2006 to August 2006. Jean-Sébastien gained experience as an Interim Manager and Mentor at Videotron from August 2008 to March 2010. Overall, Jean-Sébastien Martel has a diverse background with a range of roles in strategy, content, social media, and media hosting.

Jean-Sébastien Martel is currently pursuing a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Management at the Université TÉLUQ. This degree is still ongoing as of 2019. Prior to their current education, from 2003 to 2006, Jean-Sébastien attended ATM cegep de Jonquière where they studied Arts and Technologies of Media with a focus on Communication Radio. Their education also includes a DEC in Arts and Letters, Theatre from Cégep Marie-Victorin, which they completed from 2000 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Jean-Sébastien Martel has obtained several certifications. In September 2018, they completed a certification in Design Strategy: Design Thinking for Business Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of Sydney. In April 2014, they obtained a certification in Gamification from Penn State University, and in January 2014, they completed a certification in Content Strategy for Professionals from Northwestern University.
