Marilou Aubin has a diverse work experience in the creative industry. Marilou began their career in 2001 as a Copywriter and Content Manager at Diesel Marketing. Marilou then worked as a Communication Master at Regroupement québécois de la danse from 2004 to 2005. In 2006, they joined Cossette as a Senior Digital Concept-Writer and later became an Associate Creative Director. In 2009, they briefly worked as a Digital Concept-Writer at AgênciaClick. From 2011 to 2016, they served as a Digital Creative Director at LG2. Marilou then moved up to become a Creative Director at the same company until 2020. From 2020 to 2023, they were a Partner and Executive Creative Director at LG2, and in 2023, they became a Partner, Vice-President, and Executive Creative Director. Additionally, since 2022, they have been working as a Creative Advertising Teacher at the Design school of Université du Québec à Montréal.
Marilou Aubin's education history begins in 1999 when they enrolled at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Communications Multimedia. Marilou completed their degree in 2002. In 2004, Marilou continued their education at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal, this time pursuing a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Event design, which they completed in 2005. In 2019, Marilou attended the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they completed a program called Women Transforming Leadership. The field of study for this program is not specified.
