Jeni Harvey

Jeni Harvey is an experienced communications professional currently serving as a Local Democracy Reporters trainer for BBC and as the Director of Marketing and Communications for Rochdale Boroughwide Housing. Additionally, Jeni holds the position of Vice-Chair at LGcomms since April 2023. Previous roles include Head of Communications and Research at Oldham Council, MA Journalism teacher at The University of Sheffield, and Press and Communications Manager for Sheffield City Region. Early career experiences include Media Relations Officer positions at Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire Police, as well as being a South Yorkshire Reporter for Yorkshire Post and News Editor for Rochdale Observer. Jeni holds a Master of Science in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Stirling and has completed qualifications from the CIPR and NCTJ, along with a degree in English Literature from Newcastle University.
