Raj James

Raj James has a diverse work experience in various industries. Raj started their career in 2007 as an Information Technician at Phillips Diversified Mfg., where they were responsible for creating process sheets, overseeing assembly lines, and maintaining network infrastructure. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Game Programmer at Radial Impact LLC. In 2012, they joined Campus Living Villages as an Assistant Director, where they maintained rent and resident status documents, coordinated dormitory events, and assisted in emergencies. Raj then transitioned to LG&E and KU Energy LLC in 2013 as a Control Specialist, ensuring compliance with Critical Infrastructure Protection standards and programming/maintaining PLCs. In their most recent role as a Security Operations Center Lead at LG&E and KU Energy LLC, Raj ensures compliance with CIP standards, assists with documentation, and develops procedures to meet new requirements.

Raj James obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Game Programming from the University of Advancing Technology from 2010 to 2012. Raj later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Louisville. In terms of additional certifications, Raj obtained the following: GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) from the SANS Institute and GIAC Enterprise Vulnerability Assessor (GEVA) from GIAC Certifications in 2020, GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) from the SANS Institute in 2019, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2017, and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from the Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) in 2017.
