Steve Hastings

Steve Hastings is Vice President of Surety for Liberty Mutual’s surety operations in Canada. He is responsible for leading the surety underwriting team, consisting of both contract and commercial surety underwriters based out of offices in Toronto, Montreal and Edmonton. Steve has more than 20 years of experience in the surety industry, beginning his career as a surety underwriter at American International Group. He progressed through multiple roles of increasing complexity and responsibility throughout his career, now overseeing Liberty Mutual’s portfolio of surety accounts in Canada. He assumed his current role in 2017.
