Janelle Zai

Janelle Zai is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the insurance and legal sectors. Currently serving as Vice President and Legal Leader at Liberty Mutual Insurance since September 2018, Zai has previously held positions such as Assistant Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel. Prior experience includes a role as Legal Consultant at LOD - Lawyers On Demand, Legal Director at The Kho Group focusing on legal and commercial aspects of projects in Southeast Asia, and Associate/Solicitor at RPC, where Zai specialized in corporate advisory and complex commercial needs. Early career experience includes trainee solicitor positions at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert and the merged firm of Clyde & Co and Barlow Lyde & Gilbert. Janelle Zai holds a Juris Doctor from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Graphic Design from California State University, Los Angeles, and Northeastern University, respectively.
