Carol Carrero

Carol Carrero's work experience begins in 2011 at Popular, where they served as a Trust Account Officer. In this role, they managed over one billion worth in assets and over 40 retirement plans' accounts, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and conducting investment analysis and accounting.

In 2017, Carol joined Claro Puerto Rico as a Finance Specialist, responsible for managing and monitoring the company's investments in pension plans portfolios. Carol also prepared and submitted accounting reports in compliance with ERISA rules. Later, they were promoted to the role of Senior Financial Specialist, where they handled the organization's daily, monthly, and annual cash flow positions and managed bank relationships and liquidity management.

In 2022, Carol moved to FV Bank as a Senior Trust Officer, leading the development of new processes and infrastructure for digital asset custody services. Carol oversaw trust operations, trust accounting, and produced reporting for both internal stakeholders and regulators.

Most recently, Carol joined Liberty of Puerto Rico in 2023 as a Senior Treasury Manager. In this role, they utilize their expertise to oversee the company's cash flow, manage bank relationships, administer corporate debt and purchasing cards programs, and ensure liquidity throughout the organization.

Carol Carrero obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Contabilidad y Finanzas from Universidad de Puerto Rico, where they studied from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended Escuela Secundaria de la Universidad de Puerto Rico (UHS) for their high school education from 2000 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Carol Carrero has also obtained several certifications in the field of blockchain. In June 2022, they completed the courses "Blockchain: Foundations and Use Cases" and "Introduction to Blockchain for Financial Services" from Coursera. Carol also obtained the certification of "Certified Cryptocurrency Expert" from Blockchain Council during the same period.
