Rafael Aponte Nieves

Rafael Aponte Nieves has a diverse work experience spanning several industries.

Rafael began their career as a Supply Technician in the US Army from 2007 to 2013.

After their military service, they joined Sprint as a Retail Sales Consultant from February 2012 to March 2013. Rafael then advanced to the position of Team Lead Manager from April 2013 to June 2014.

Rafael then joined AT&T, where they held multiple roles. From November 2014 to February 2016, they worked as a Customer Service Specialist. Rafael then transitioned to become a Retail Sales Consultant from February 2016 to July 2018.

In August 2018, Rafael took on the position of Event Expert, where they played a key role in concretizing a newly created event division for AT&T, focusing on sales-driven proposals and increasing market share. Rafael performed procurement and warehouse logistics for the Mobile Events channel and served as an ambassador for the AT&T brand.

In March 2019, Rafael stepped into the role of Lead Logistics Coordinator at AT&T, where they utilized their extensive logistics and retail experience. Rafael managed resources, procurement request flow, distribution, and allocation of equipment. Rafael also handled vendor management, service coordination, delivery coordination, and asset storage. Rafael was responsible for network repairs items procedure flow, implementation equipment handling, spares purchase, warranty, and tech support for the Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands markets. Rafael continued in this position until May 2021.

Most recently, Rafael joined Liberty of Puerto Rico in November 2020 as a Lead Logistics Coordinator. In this role, they coordinated and aligned the integration between Liberty and AT&T for network operations and implementations at the warehouse logistics level. Rafael created new operational procedures for spares management, forecasted equipment usage, and generated purchase orders for network maintenance.

Rafael Aponte Nieves earned a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Universidad Politécnica de Puerto Rico. Rafael attended the university from 2013 to 2016. In addition, Rafael obtained a certification in Lean Six Sigma Foundations from LinkedIn in May 2019.
