Marcia Segal

Archivist, Processing at Library of Congress

Marcia K. Segal has extensive experience in archival work, currently serving as an Archivist and Processing Archivist at the American Folklife Center, Library of Congress since April 2002, where responsibilities include the arrangement and description of archival materials related to cultural practices and the preservation of intellectual content in various formats. Previously, Marcia worked as a Processing Technician, also focusing on archival arrangement and description, and as an Archivist's Assistant at Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI), where tasks involved updating special collections inventories and providing access to archival photos. Marcia holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from The Catholic University of America, an MA in English from the University of Bristol, and a BA in Literature from American University.
