Svitlana Bach

Svitlana Bach has a wealth of experience in the field of neuroscience. Svitlana began their career in 2009 as a Graduate Student at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. In 2015, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Currently, they are a Staff Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development on the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine campus. Her research focuses on integrating neuronal circuit imaging with novel epigenetic editing approaches to develop better therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer's disease, as well as human postmortem brain transcriptomics, proteomics and degradomics.

Svitlana Bach earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience from Wake Forest School of Medicine between 2009 and 2014. Prior to this, they earned a BS, summa cum laude in psychology, biology, and chemistry from New Mexico Highlands University between 2002 and 2006.
