Jorge Antonio Gomez

Jorge Antonio Gomez has a wealth of experience in legal and regulatory affairs, with a focus on the insurance industry. Jorge Antonio has held various senior positions throughout their career, including serving as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at LifeCare Assurance Company, where they were responsible for overseeing corporate transactions, litigation, regulatory activities, and Special Investigations Unit (SIU) activities. Prior to that, Gomez was Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Universal North America, where they provided oversight for corporate legal and regulatory affairs, as well as litigation. Jorge Antonio also served as Vice President and Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer, and later as Vice President of Contract Management and Administration, at First Coast Service Options, where they managed federal Medicare contracts and ensured compliance with various regulations. Before their work in the insurance industry, Gomez served as the Commissioner of Insurance for the State of Wisconsin, where they had regulatory oversight of domestic insurers and managed several state-administered insurance funds. Additionally, they have experience as a Litigation Partner at Michael Best and Friedrich, where they represented clients in civil and criminal litigation, and as a Felony Prosecutor at the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office, where they handled a wide range of cases, including homicide, sexual assaults, and drug enforcement. Jorge Antonio Gomez completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Pitzer College, where they studied from 1975 to 1979. Later, they pursued a J.D. degree in Law from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they attended from 1983 to 1986.
