Myesha Williams, MSW, currently serves as the Community Engagement Manager at LifeLong Medical Care since September 2017. Prior to this role, Myesha operated as an Independent Consultant from May 2016 to February 2022 and worked as a Program Coordinator at the Prevention Institute from August 2014 to May 2016. Myesha was also a Program Associate for New Voices are Rising at The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment from 2009 to 2014, where the focus was on youth leadership development. Earlier experience includes a position as an Abolitionist with Critical Resistance, contributing to public policy issues related to the prison industrial complex and co-authoring a significant chapter on the school-to-prison pipeline. Myesha began involvement in community empowerment as an intern at the Statewide Poverty Action Network, facilitating voter engagement and political involvement for low-income individuals. Myesha holds an MSW in Social Work from the University of Washington and a BA in Social Welfare from California State University, Northridge.
