Sylvia Hacaj

Sylvia Hacaj has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sylvia started their career as a Legislative Analyst in the U.S. House of Representatives and later worked as the Deputy Director of Government Relations for AmeriCorps. Sylvia then joined M&R Strategic Services as a Senior Vice President and Managing Director, where they contributed to the firm's growth and worked on various management and client projects. After leaving M&R, Sylvia held positions at Save the Children, first as the Director of Policy & Advocacy and later as the Associate Director of the Western Region. Sylvia then served as the Vice President of the Global Philanthropy Forum, where they curated and produced an annual gathering of social investors, foundation executives, and philanthropists. Prior to their current role, Sylvia was the VP of External Relations and Development at the World Affairs Council of Northern California. Sylvia is currently the Director of Communications and Development at LifeLong Medical Care.

Sylvia Hacaj holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations from American University. Sylvia has obtained several certifications, including Engaging Leadership from ZMCoach in 2021, Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology: Core Strengths Practices and Coaching Skills from San Francisco State University in 2016, Certificate in Strategic Intervention Coaching from Robbins-Madanes Training Center in 2015, and Certificate from the Lily Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University Bloomington in 2009.
