Althea Russell

Althea Russell is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching English Language Arts to middle school students at Uncommon Schools since February 2018. In various leadership roles, including Grade Level Lead and Dean of Curriculum and Instruction Fellow, Althea focuses on delivering high-quality instruction, modifying curriculum for special needs students, and supporting teacher development through real-time feedback and coaching. Prior experience includes teaching English at Martin Van Buren High School and serving as Head Teacher at Jack & Jill Nursery School. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Education from Queens College and dual Bachelor's degrees in English Language and Literature and Communication and Media Studies.
