April Lee has a wide range of experience in the field of product management. April started their career in 2009 as a Research Assistant at Defense Research and Development Canada, where they researched and drafted a proposal on the safety and usability of unmanned aerial vehicles. Later that year, they took on a mentorship position as a Photographer's Assistant at Maz Images. From 2010-2016, April held various roles at Decision Resources Group, including Project Manager, Team Lead and Market Research Analyst. In 2016, April joined Clarivate as a Technical Product Manager, where they worked closely with the development teams as a Certified Scrum Product Owner. Some of their key responsibilities included writing user stories and requirements in JIRA, participating in Agile Scrum processes, conducting feedback sessions with users, and running training sessions. Currently, April is a Product Manager at LifeSpeak Inc., where they continue to utilize their product management skills.
April Lee obtained their H.BSc in Psychology (Cognition) from McMaster University in 2007, after studying there from 2003. April then went on to receive their MSc in Cognitive Psychology from McMaster University in 2009. In 2016, April Lee obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance.
