Carol Pipes has worked in various roles in the field of communications and editorial services. Carol started their career at Brotherhood Commission as a Special Projects Assistant from 1994 to 1997. Carol then joined The Salvation Army as a Public Relations Manager in 1999, where they wrote articles and news releases and served as a liaison with the media. Carol then moved on to North American Mission Board, where they held multiple roles including Associate Editor, Managing Editor, Editor-in-Chief, and Team Leader. In these positions, they oversaw editorial and design efforts, managed production, developed content, and worked with authors and photographers to deliver high-quality publications. Since 2012, Carol has been working at Lifeway Christian Resources as the Manager of Editorial Services and later as the Director of Corporate Communications. In these roles, they have led and managed the editorial services team, assigned and developed articles, collaborated with writers and designers, and ensured timely and budget-efficient delivery of magazines.
Carol Pipes attended The University of Memphis from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a B.A. in Journalism. Carol also holds additional certifications in Improving Team Effectiveness with DiSC and a Management Certificate from Emory University.
