Derek Stemen

Derek Stemen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Derek is currently working as the Vice President of Advancement at LifeWise Academy since February 2022. Prior to this, they served as the President & CEO of United Way of Greater Lima from May 2019 to March 2022. Derek also has experience with the American Red Cross, where they held multiple roles including LEAD Participant, Executive Director, and Interim Volunteer Services Executive. Derek was a part of the Leadership Education and Development program, developing project management programs and finding solutions to national business problems. Before that, Derek worked at Bluffton University as the Director of Admissions and Admissions Counselor from January 2012 to September 2015. Derek also has previous experience with The United Methodist Church as a Lead Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Director of Family Ministries, where they were involved in various pastoral and leadership responsibilities. Derek's early career includes a role as a Claims Service Representative at Central Insurance Companies from May 2004 to June 2005.

Derek Stemen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Bluffton University in the years 2000 to 2004. Derek later earned an MBA from the same university during the years 2012 to 2014.
