Karl Sampson

Karl Sampson is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Regional Education Director at Lift Schools since March 2023. Previously, Karl held the position of Director of Education at Westcountry Schools Trust from September 2021 to March 2023. Karl's career also includes significant roles at Ofsted from September 2008 to September 2021, where responsibilities included Assistant Regional Director for the South West, Senior HMI, and HMI for schools. Karl holds a Master of Education in Inspection and Evaluation from IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society, a PGCE in Secondary History from the University of Worcester, and a BA (Hons) in History, also from the University of Worcester.
