David Mawhinney's work experience begins in 2004 as a New Business Analyst at BLACKHORSE FINANCIAL SERVICES LTD. David then worked as an English Teacher at Nova Group Japan in 2005. From 2007 onwards, they joined The Royal Bank of Scotland where they held various roles including Analyst - Credit Portfolio Management, Senior Analyst - Risk Reporting & Analysis Services, Corporate Banking Risk, Manager - Analysis and Insight, Corporate Banking Risk, Associate Director - Advanced Portfolio Analytics, Commercial and Private Banking, and finally Data Science Lead - Commercial & Private Banking. In 2020, David became the Head of Liftango UK at Liftango, a shared mobility startup focused on reducing congestion and emissions in cities.
David Mawhinney received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Newcastle University, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. David later pursued further education at The Chartered Banker Institute, where they obtained a MCBI degree in Banking from 2008 to 2013.
