Jacob Duerden has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jacob started their career at Discover Financial Services as an Account Manager, where they excelled in selling balance transfers to existing customers. Jacob quickly progressed to Inbound Activation, where they assisted card members with activating new cards and selling products. Jacob then moved to the Retention department, using their persuasive skills to convince customers to stay with the company.
Jacob later joined eBay as a Customer Service Representative, initially helping users regain access to their accounts and later taking proactive measures against individuals who violated the website's terms and conditions. Their responsibilities included tool development, customer service, investigation, and account management.
Following their time at eBay, Jacob transitioned to Pinterest, where they held various roles. As a Strategic Partnerships Partner Manager and Account Manager, they supported high-potential holding company agencies and trained a group of account managers. Subsequently, they served as a Key Accounts Account Manager for the US Mid Market, managing client relationships and providing data-driven insights for business growth. Later, as a Sales Manager for the CA SMB, they led a team and prioritized inbound leads for client expansion.
Currently, Jacob is the Director of Customer Success at LiftLab, where they oversee customer success initiatives and ensures the successful management of projects.
