Benjamin Assel has a diverse work experience in the fields of machine learning engineering and theoretical and mathematical physics. Benjamin is currently employed at Liftoff Mobile, Inc as a Machine Learning Engineer since October 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Fellow at CERN from October 2016 to October 2019. Before joining CERN, they held the position of Research Associate at King's College London from September 2013 to September 2016. Benjamin's academic background includes a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Ecole normale supérieure, where they worked from September 2010 to August 2013. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant at Pierre and Marie Curie University, where they taught undergraduate level Mathematics for 60 hours per year from September 2010 to August 2013.
Benjamin Assel completed their Master's degree and Engineer's degree in Mathematics and Physics from École Polytechnique between the years 2006 and 2010. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications. In June 2017, they completed a certification course on Machine Learning from Stanford Online. In the same month and year, they also obtained a certification in Using Python for Research from HarvardX, an online learning initiative by Harvard University through edX. Furthermore, in May 2018, Benjamin obtained a certification in Mining Massive Datasets from Stanford Online.
