Adam Stein has significant experience in the biotech industry, with a focus on drug development and structural biology. Prior to this, they worked as a Strategic Advisor at XRB Solutions, providing scientific leadership and operational strategy development for biotech startups. Adam also founded Icaria Life Sciences, where they served as the Principal Founder and Senior Director of Structural Biology, overseeing business development and project management. Additionally, Adam held leadership roles at Cayman Chemical, serving as the VP of Research & Development - Biochemistry and later as the Director of Structural Biology. Adam also worked at Xtal BioStructures Inc. as the Director of Structural Biology and at Argonne National Laboratory and deCODE genetics as a Protein Crystallographer and Group Leader, respectively.
Adam Stein completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Michigan State University, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. Adam then pursued their higher education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physical Chemistry from the same institution, completing it from 1997 to 2002. Later, Adam undertook further studies at Yale University School of Medicine, where they pursued a Post-doctoral degree in Cell Biology/Structure Biology for the duration of 2001 to 2006.
